Wednesday May 8 2002 Web Services Architect Survey Results We recently ran a survey, asking readers to answer a few questions about themselves and their interest in Web Services. The survey ran from 10 ? 29 April 2002, and we received 1004 responses. On completion of the survey, readers were given a link to one of our PDF papers, Business Process Standards for Web Services by David O?Riordan. While contributors to this survey will clearly have been biased towards this topic, the number of responses received, in a little over two weeks, was encouraging. We therefore think that, despite the usual self-selecting qualifications that inevitably accompany online surveys of this type, the results do represent an interesting snapshot of the state of the industry at this time. Here are the results of the five questions we asked. All of these questions required an answer for the successful submission of the survey. 1.Select the job title that most accurately reflects your current role.
.With which platform do you primarily work?
.Which of these topics would you most like to see covered on Web Services Architect?
.When did you / will you start implementing Web Services?
.How much do you spend on online content per year?
